Haha, so I finally have decided to update like...this thing! Well, as of late, I've been doing pretty good. I'm all situated back here at school and such. I am great friends with my roommate Jordan (she's like heaven and peace on Earth compared to Emily last year). And then Amber and I (we briefly met last year, but never really got to know eachother that well) have become instant friends. Yea, we're goofs together now, but Jordan and I are also goofs too. So yea...this year is much better compared to last year. Like, I am able to come to school and say that I have friends to look forward to! XD Weird, I know, but so nice. That and since I'm on Central Campus this year and not West Campus, I am seeing more asian goodness! Like...I go to dinner and I will se at least one asian every night!
Oh, speaking of Asians, so yesterday when I was going to Walgreens with Katie and Jordan (we decided to walk the half mile or whatever) we walked by the cutie at the intersection and oh my god *dies* I had never seen him before and then BAM! That and then there's other cutie who I often see at dinner and right now his arm is in a sling, so I can spot him out well. Hehe, this is so entertaining. Oh and also when I was at NDK last weekend (hehe, I shall talk more about NDK in a bit) there was one asian who I saw and when I first saw him I totally went weak at the knees! I never go weak at the knees!!! Too bad I was behind a booth table working. *sigh* But he was like, the perfect asian I have ever seen walk in front of me! Like really, I was just *sigh and about to fall*.

Ok, so on the topic of NDK (Nan Desu Kan for those who don't know it). That was the weekend of the 14-16 and it was SO MUCH FUN! Like, it was my first convention ever and it was a blast (minus a few set backs that could have been prevented I guess, but I did make the efforts to stop them). But yea. So I got to the hotel on Thursday evening. I invited Amber along so she could see John O since they have a past together as well and they hadn't seen eachother in so long that I figured it'd be something nice and special for them (granted it was a bit awkward at points, but meh...what should ya expect?). So yea, that was fun though. We got pizza and stuff for dinner and at one point John O got in his Walter costume...which just ended up looking like fun, so I got into my Mamimi outfit. Haha, but that also gave Amber a chance to get a few pictures of us on her phone. So yea. But after everyone left and it was just John O, Rem, Mandy, and Me, we ended up meeting some other people...one of them was Colby (and that's obvious because he's the only one who's name I remember XD ). But we ended up prank calling this "friend" of their's and it was funny because he NEVER hung up! We went on for an hour just bugging this kid on the phone and we even asked him why he never hung up on us if he was getting irritated with us. Weird. But yea. That was a lot of fun.
Then there was Friday. That day we were dressed in Skyrit attire to "support" the group, but it just ended up being us dressing up for the Skyrits. So, we ended up getting in the line for the dealer's room 3 hours before it opened so we could get in and get the good stuff. And while we were in line, there was the candy ninja who was pretty entertaining...I attempted to steal his candy cane weapons, which I almost succeeded in. But then he went to grab them and since little miss. ex-gymnast me can still bend her back, he missed me and then Colby and his friends were like, "whoa! Matrixy." And then eventually, at one point, Colby tried to handcuff Mandy to him XD And if you are wondering where he got the handcuffs, he was cosplaying L at the time and had them for the outfit and such. And then, oh! This totally sucked. So, I paid for Mandy and me, so we were pre-registration, yet when we went to get our badges, they didn't have Mandy's!! They had mine, but not Mandy's. I paid for both of us at the same time with the same registration form!!! So yea, Mandy got a badge eventually, but it was a registration badge that they were giving the people who were registering right then and there, which almost prevented her from getting into the dealer's room with the other pre-regs. However, we ended up getting hired to work at Anime Pavillion for 3 hours and got in with dealer passes XD So we got to look around first and see what all was available before it go super crowded. So yea, that was a lot of fun. And I had John O get me an Akatsuki robe after I saw his. They are so nice and I decided that I wanted one as well because, well...they are nice and I would totally wear mine too. So yea, he got me one before they were out of stock for those XD And working at the booth was so much fun too. The 3 hours went by so quickly and I was placed in the anime section. Which it was sorta funny because Mandy was over in manga and we would have been better off with being switched since she's more into anime and I'm more into manga XDDD But yea. We both got $30 of manga and anime though...and that was each. So, I got 2 volumes of Tsubasa Chronicles and one of Vampire Doll. Mandy got herself the Cowboy Bebop movie and a single volume manga. But yea. We had so much fun that day. That and what else did I buy on Friday? Uhhhh, a black and red chainmail bracelet (I totally got stuff for my Skyrit outfit XD ), a wall scroll of Sakura from Tsubasa Chronicles, I could have sworn I had gotten a few more things then. Meh, oh well. But we ended up doing that and I don't remember what else we did that day. Basically walked around the area to find out where everything was. At some point though, Colby got Mandy handcuffed to him. So they dragged eachother all over the place. Then later Friday, Merida and Amber came back down since we forgot to pay Merida gas money since the money I gave her for gas went towards the pizza from the previous night. So, when they got there, we were dying my hair for Mamimi (yes, now I have a slightly plumish purple hair color XD ). And Amber was all skyrited out! Hehe, so there was John in green and black, Amber in hot pink and black, and me in red and black. It was pretty entertaining, but I left them alone since well...my hair was dying and I had to take a shower at one point, and that just seemed like the nice thing to do. So yea. I went to bed pretty early that night too. Like, I woke up at one point and Mandy and John O were watching the people downstairs (we had a balcony room). So I hung out with them on the balcony for a bit and eventually they both went in and slept. So, i ended up falling asleep at one point out on the balcony.
Now, on to Saturday! So, I woke up, on the balcony...slightly disoriented a bit. I got dressed up though...and I had Mandy straighten my hair for me because I don't trust myself with a straightener. So, I walked around as Mamimi and went around the dealer's room a bit more to get some more things since there would have been more merchandise out. So yea. Did that, got a few pictures, but when I was with Mandy (since she was Haruko) I got more pictures since people realized, "Haruko and Mamimi!" So yea. That was still fun though. We went and saw Wendy Powell's panel on being an evil villian which was entertaining since Vic was mentioned and she started making fun of him and his height XD I got a kick out of her. And then, we got in line for the AMV contest. We were in line for about 2 hours then. At one point, I got in a slight argument with Rem about how costume since he was doing Naota (as I would call him), but he looked like a normal person just walking around and not cosplaying. And it got to a point when he said that it was his first convention ever...which was a bad thing to say since it was also my first convention and I did much better on my costume. Later though, I told him that I would have accepted, "This is my first time witnessing such an event," since I tend to watch cons, masquerades, and such on YouTube because it interests me that much. So, we got in...I drew on my voting paper thingy since we were waiting for at least 30 or 45 minutes before they started the actual competition. And that was freakin awesome! Like, all the videos, except for one, that I voted for in their categories, won. But the all time favorite was definitely "Does L Creep You Out" Which, is also why it won all around best AMV in the contest. But I loved Magic Pad too. I found it at AMV.com and whenever I watch it, I get goosebumps. So yea, Mandy and Colby were handcuffed together again for Saturday too. At one point we decided to go find Tokyo Joes, which we never found, but ended up going to Chipotle...which I was not really in the mood for, but I wasn't going to make a huge deal out of it since Colby, Mandy, and John O, were fine with it. But on the way back...I got to be extremely emotionless...which worked pretty well since Mamimi will be emotionless at times. XD So yea, and then Mandy tried to have me go to bed early, which I couldn't sleep. So yea. I ended up joining them in free hugs though. So, I was wearing my Akatsuki robe giving free hugs...at one point someone thought I was Sasori and got a picture with me XD Which works well for me right now since the plum in my hair has a slightly red tint to it...so yea. XD I want to cosplay Sasori now. Hmmm...well I probably could since I want to do Sakura too and they both have short hair. I would just dye my hair after doing Sakura and Stephanie is with a wig, so that could work. *starts planning* But then at one point we went to karaoke, but I had to leave that since I was slowly becoming and emotional wreck. So, I went back to the room and ended up ranting a 2 1/2 page rant on how love sucks XD Yea...but it helped and I enjoy reading it now because i have some weird humor in it. So yea. Did that and what else? Uhhhh, I don't remember what else I did that night. I might have gone to bed after that though.
And onto Sunday! So, Sunday, I was Stephanie and oh my gosh I did not know how many people would recognize me even though the dress's fabric pattern wasn't the complete same and such, but I got a lot of pictures taken of me. And it was even better since Mandy was doing another version of Haruko, so we both had pink hair XD But yea, I ended up meeting this guy named Jake who loves the show and now we're going to do a Stephanie and Sporticus for next year! Hehe, so now I'm going to keep an eye out for better fabric and dress pattern to possibly remake it for next year. And then Mandy and I went to the dealer's room (again) and i got a little Totoro plushie and the kitty from Kiki's Delivery Service (I feel horrible for not remembering his name). And then I also got a nice hat with kitty ears on it...so that is nice to wear on the cold days here at school. I don't remember what else I bought though...oh I got two little pictures that are freakin amazing! Ummm, anything else? I don't remember...oh a NDK shirt! Yea, I think that was it though. But Sunday was a lot of fun. John O was just wearing his Akatsuki robe around without a shirt and when they asked to see his badge, he stripped for them........yea. That was interesting. I don't remember what else i did on Sunday. I went to the charity function though and I almost got myself a Hamtaro air hockey table! But no, I had to have only $42 and the girl has $45 >:( Oh well. John O got himself the two Hellsing items though, along with a limited edition Beck poster signed. Oh and the Hellsing items were also signed. Yea, I'm not saying how much he spent on those though. At least, it went to a charity. Mandy and Colby were handcuffed still though...so when we were leaving and coming back up the county, Mandy said she felt lonely without being cuffed to Colby. XD So yea. We went to a Tokyo Joes for dinner...yummy rice, chicken, and water chesnuts! Oh and we were still in costume (well Mandy and I were in costume), John O was wearing his Akatsuki robe, and Rem was dressed in his normal attire, so that was a lot of fun too because people noticed me there as well and were like, "You're that girl from that show on Nick Jr.!" Haha, oh the entertainment. So we got up to the county and what not. Then I went to bed to leave for school Monday morning XD

I didn't get as many as I would have liked, but that's ok. I'm glad there were a lot of other people taking pictures since I know I'll eventually find most of them. And I'm probably going to spazz when I find one of me as Mamimi since I've only found my Stephanie ones and then there was one in a video slideshow from when I was wearing my Akatsuki robe.
